Half Moon Bay

This past Saturday I finally made it to Half Moon Bay, which is only about an hour or so away. The pictures do a better job of speaking to the beauty of this area than I ever could (thanks to the photographer). I found the surrounding area quite charming - the farmstands and the quaint downtown in particular. HMB is known for its Pumpkin Festival each fall but I was happy to visit when it was not peak tourist season.

Important note: it was January 17 and I was at the beach in short sleeves experiencing 70 degree weather. Yes, California has its perks.

This Year

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is off to a great start this January. Just a quick note about the blog this year: since I am now putting down roots here in the Bay, there will most likely be fewer posts here from now on.
